The Location

In 1983 / 84 the first floor was reconstructed. Here you find the management, the office, various tuition rooms each equipped with a grand or piccolo piano or keyboards; harp tuition on our own harp is held here; there's the 'Chamber-Room', location for rehearsals of various instrumental classes; the 'Blue Theatre' where both the music and the drama department present their achievements at the end of each term; the large foyer with its cafeteria right in front of the Chamber-Room and the theatre - where students and tutors of classical and jazz music meet with representatives of the drama during intermission for expert discussions on various topics or just for food and drinks.

The 'Blue Theatre' is a fully concessioned room for events, with 99 seats, a stage sized 6 x 7 metres and two changing rooms; there is a grand piano on the stage. The 'Blue Theatre' is used for teaching in the drama department and events of the School, but it can also be rented for theatrical or musical productions.

In 1985 the second floor was adapted to offer room for large ensembles. This is where tuition for children is offered (support of the very young, pre-school musical education); the Ballet Room is home of the children's ballet; the drama department offers courses in acting, fencing, talking and drama there.
