Born in Vienna. Studies for trumpet, singing, acting, opera directing, theater and musicology, cultural management. Debut as a singer at the Raimund Theater in Vienna (Pappacoda, One Night in Venice).

Since then, an extensive repertoire as a singer and actor - over 60 roles on over 2000 evenings (including all major buffo, comedic and character roles in operettas and musicals up to the title role in The King And I at the Dresden State Operetta). Premiere singer of Friedrich Cerha's “Network” at the festival weeks in the Theater an der Wien and the one-man musical Novecento-The Legend of the Ocean Pianist by Charles Kalman, dedicated to him.

As a director over 70 productions in opera, operetta and musicals. Engagements: Theater an der Wien, Raimundtheater, Stadttheater Baden, Vienna State Opera (blues singer, ÖEA von Bernsteins Mass), Landestheater Linz, Städtische Bühnen Regensburg, Volkstheater Rostock, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Theater Plauen-Zwickau, Leipzig Opera, Halle Opera House, Chemnitz Opera, Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, Landestheater Detmold, Landesbühnen Sachsen / Dresden, Theater Magdeburg, Stadttheater St. Gallen, etc. 1991-2003 Singer and dramaturge at the Dresden State Operetta.

Since 2000 professorship at the MUK University of Vienna. Juror at international competitions. Work as an artistic appraiser and consultant. Scientific publications. Secretary General of the “International Franz Lehár Society”. Awarded a “Robert Stolz Medal”. Today he is considered one of the internationally recognized specialists in the field of operetta.
