Sayoko Akimoto

Sayoko Akimoto, was born in Tokyo. When she was four years old, she took piano lessons. She played a public concert for the first time at the age of eight.
At the age of 12, she continued her studies at a conservatory with a focus on music. Her major was piano and her minors were violin and singing. The training at this music college lasted 10 years. During this time she often performed as a solo pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. At the end of high school, she received a scholarship to continue her music studies.
In the last year of her studies, her conservatory organized a two-week training excursion to Vienna. From this first encounter with the city, a love developed that led to her moving to Vienna in 2011 to continue her studies at the Prayner Conservatory. Initially for two years with Prof. Sung Suk Kang, then from 2013 with Prof. Robert Lehrbaumer, where she completed her diploma studies as a concert pianist with distinction in 2019. She has been studying with Ms. Tamara ATSCHBA since March 2020
During her studies in Austria, she also made several public appearances, both as a soloist and with an orchestra, as a chamber musician and as an accompanist, in Vienna, Salzburg, Lower Austria and Burgenland, as well as in France.
