Christian Höller was born in Hollabrunn in 1969 and received his music school teacher training from 1984 to 1987 with Prof. Walter Maurer.

Since the beginning of this training, Christian Höller has worked as a part-time teacher at various music schools in Lower Austria.

After graduating from high school in 1988, he began studying instrumental pedagogy at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, also with Prof. Maurer, in the subject accordion with a focus on piano, which he completed with honors in 1992.

After studying accordion at the Franz Schubert Conservatory, he passed the final diploma examination in 2003 with distinction.
As a participant in various national and international accordion competitions, Christian Höller was able to win numerous prizes.

Christian Höller is currently working as an instrumental teacher at the Mödling, Perchtoldsdorf and Wiener Neudorf music schools for accordion, Styrian harmonica, keyboard, piano as well as accordion and folk music ensembles. He teaches accordion and Styrian harmonica at the Franz Schubert Conservatory.

From 1986 to 2000 he led the traditional costume band in Sitzendorf an der Schmida.

In 2011, the Viennese accordion club Favoriten won Christian Höller as conductor and musical director for both orchestras.

His many other activities as a musician are particularly expressed through studio and live productions, appearances at numerous events at home and abroad as well as various stage appearances.

  • Christian Höller is also a member of many different music groups.

His activities as a board member of the Austrian Harmonica Association and as a jury member at national and international accordion competitions round off his diverse work on the accordion.

He seeks balance for his musical work in good books and as a concert-goer on the other side of the stage. If time allows, cycling is his exercise therapy.
